Perfect rice is easier to make than you might think, and you don’t need any special techniques or cooking equipment to do it. Hi, I’m Stephanie Gallagher, The Iron Chef Mom, and today, I’ll show you how to make perfect rice in the Crockpot. For this recipe, you will need: 1 cup long-grain jasmine or basmati rice (you can rinse it first if you like, but it’s not necessary) 1-1/4 cups water 1/2 tsp. butter (that’s optional) Spray the slow cooker with cooking spray, or, if you prefer, you can grease it with butter. Add the rice, the water and the butter. Cover, and cook on low for 1-1/2 to 2 hours. Lift the lid and check to see if all the liquid is absorbed. If it is, taste the rice. If it’s done, fluff with a fork, and serve. If not, add a little more water and continue cooking for another 10-20 minutes. And here’s your perfect Crockpot rice. Thanks for watching.
