Has anyone made coconut rice (Southeast Asian)?

Question by Xie Xie Niii: Has anyone made coconut rice (Southeast Asian)?
How do you make it? Do you basically replace the rice water with coconut milk?

Please no links to webpages…I already have an idea of the recipe and directions. Just want to know how other people make theirs.

I usually just add the can of coconut milk directly to the rice. If I have a lot of rice, I’ll add in some extra sugar and water.

Simple and delicious! Just don’t have it too often, it is very fatty.
