Question by Jennifer G: I need a basic recipe for ice cream using rice milk and/or coconut milk. No dairy, eggs, soy, or nuts.?
We have an ice cream maker and I’m dying to try it out! Can someone help? My daughter is allergic to dairy, eggs, wheat, soy, and peanuts.
(and no, cool whip isn’t dairy free. It says non-dairy, as do things like coffee creamer, but it still has milk protein in it, which is what my daughter is allergic to)

I haven’t tried these yet, and would have to sub rice/coconut milk for the soy, but here are some non dairy ice cream and sorbet recipes I found, using relatively basic ingredients.

I have not yet tried it but I am wanting to experiment as well, as my parents can’t have dairy, and my mom doesn’t do eggs.
I was just going to take the cocnut milk, add some cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice, fresh fruit possibly. Chill well and then pour into the ice cream maker.
I also asked about this and didn;t get any good answers. I also just haven’t gotten around to trying it yet.
If it doesn;t work thaw it out and mix with cool whip (usually non-dary anyway) and some coconut and mix in some fresh fruit. Or dizzle over pancakes etc….
